ASHAY offer a range of dance, movement, wellbeing, cultural awareness and calendar day themed workshops that can be delivered at workplaces, organisations, community groups, health centre, schools, festivals and private events.

Managing Director
Nisha Lall BA Hons (Dance) & BA Hons (Multimedia) has been a freelance dance and movement practitioner and arts project manager for over 15 years. She has trained in Exercise To Music, Indian, Arabic, Latin and Contemporary styles. Nisha has 15 years experience in delivery of dance and arts projects in educational, professional and community settings. She has delivered dance sessions in over 150 schools; sessions for the NHS, BBC and Aviva and worked with groups including parent and child, SEND, care homes and refugees.
Nisha Lall’s 5 years of professional experience in multimedia/web development also complement the projects she works on by also being about the provide digital marketing, digital artwork and film production.
Director
Denise Carpenter, now retired, spent the majority of her working life as an Administrator and Events Organiser for various charities, organising training events and workshops locally and nationally, to promote community development and empower communities to have a voice.
She has a keen interest in all types of dance and has assisted Nisha in delivering classes, workshops and performances in latin dance in community venues and schools to promote diversity, inclusivity and health and wellbeing. She believes that by bringing people together via the medium of dance and creative arts, it creates a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of different cultures and identities in the community, allowing people to feel confident that they have a sense of belonging, and feel comfortable mixing and interacting with others.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who would be willing to volunteer their time to support our projects by offer advice, thoughts and knowledge.
